Press Release

Welcome to the Victoria Cross Surgery Website

At Victoria Cross Surgery we pride ourselves on offering a wide range of health care services to our patients.

In addition to being fully qualified in general practice, our doctors have specialist expertise in a range of medical conditions. Following the retirement of the Senior Partner and registered CQC Manager,  Dr Philip Bauliah is now our Senior Partner and registered CQC Manager. Victoria Cross Surgery had a successful CQC inspection in August 2016 where the overall result was Good, however a further inspection will take place following the change of the registered Manager. CQC expect all areas to maintain the Good rating as per their statement on the CQC website and outlined below. Please note all patient's are registered with Dr Bauliah, however your appointment may not necessarily be with him. If you would like to see one of our other Doctors, please ask at reception when making an appointment. Our team of Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistant enable us to provide excellent clinical care to our patients.

We are based on two sites. Our main surgery in Victoria Road is convenient for the town centre. Our  branch surgery is in Eldene serving patients Monday to Friday.

Both our surgeries are rooted in the communities they serve and our buildings reflect the character of the local area. We will ensure that we provide consultations with our doctors and nurses in downstairs rooms that are accessible to people with mobility problems. Assistance will always be given by our staff when needed.

New patients are welcome at both sites. Registration can be done between the hours of 10.00am -12noon and 2.30pm - 5.00pm. You will be asked to provide 2 forms of identification, i.e. passport, utility bill.  Our friendly receptionists will give you a registration form to complete.

We hope you will find this website a useful source of information about our practice and a useful resource for other health care information.
